D.CAMP and COLOPL Next Join Forces in Tokyo to Accelerate 11 Korean Content Startups

TOKYO "Startup OI Tokyo #K-Content," a joint accelerator initiative spearheaded by D.CAMP, Korea’s premier startup foundation, and COLOPL Next Korea—the corporate venture capital (CVC) arm of global gaming giant COLOPL—has successfully concluded. The tailored program was launched with a distinct mission: to identify exceptional Korean startups in high-growth content sectors such as K-pop, brand licensing, gaming, webtoons, artificial intelligence (AI), and extended reality (XR), and facilitate strategic alliances and Proof-of-Concept (PoC) opportunities with leading Japanese enterprises.
Following a rigorous recruitment process initiated in March, D.CAMP curated a cohort of 11 startups aligned directly with the practical business and technology needs of established Japanese firms. Over the preceding months, the selected startups completed intensive mentoring to refine and contextualize their business proposals for their target partners in Japan, ensuring a high probability of institutional integration.
The main Open Innovation event, held on June 11 in Tokyo, attracted key industry players, including COLOPL, Square Enix, Toho, and Shochiku, who reviewed the tailored integration proposals presented by the startups. The intensive showcase catalyzed 14 strategic, one-on-one business matching sessions focused on concrete collaborations. Participating startups, including P2ACH AI—a pioneering developer of AI-powered ad and retail media solutions—held advanced discussions to scale their solutions across the Japanese market.
