KVCA Propels 10 Scaleup TIPS Ventures Into Japan via 'Korea Scaleup Springboard, Tokyo'

August 28, 2026

TOKYO The Korea Venture Capital Association (KVCA) announced on August 28 that it successfully held the "Korea Scaleup Springboard, Tokyo" meetup from August 25 to 28 in Tokyo, Japan, escorting 10 high-potential enterprises backed by South Korea's national "Scaleup TIPS" program. The four-day initiative was engineered to fast-track market entry, cross-border investments, and commercial alliances across Japan's digital economy.

Following rigorous pre-screening evaluations, KVCA selected 10 industry pioneers: Glorang, Deep In Sight, RealSecu, EverEx, Avis, Ipsell, Counterpoint Research, Colosseum Corporation, P2ACH AI, and Philsang. These ventures demonstrated cutting-edge deep-tech capabilities spanning spatial vision AI, retail media telemetry, digital healthcare, automated warehousing, and biotechnology.

The Tokyo itinerary featured an immersive site visit to Tokyo Innovation Base (TiB), a roundtable with Korean executives who previously scaled in Japan, a legal and regulatory briefing by the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), and targeted one-on-one investor pitch sessions. Over 30 leading venture capitalists, corporate venture capital (CVC) leaders, and cross-border attorneys from institutions such as Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking and Global Brain participated to evaluate market-fit.

"Following this summit, we will conduct structured feedback assessments and proactively arrange follow-up meetings between our innovators and Japanese investment partners to convert dialogues into binding commercial engagements," said a KVCA representative. Scaleup TIPS is South Korea's flagship public-private tech acceleration framework, supervised by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups (MSS) and jointly administered by TIPA, KVCA, and Korea Venture Investment Corp. (KVIC).
